Tinysaurus paediatric lanyard cards are designed to aid health professionals care for children in emergency situations. They provide rapid access to normal paediatric vital signs, weight estimations, resuscitation drug doses, intubation equipment sizes, fluid recipes and doses for commonly used medications.They are used widely throughout New Zealand in many clinical areas, including emergency departments, intensive care units, paediatric wards, theatres and urgent care clinics. Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are your sources?
The table of normal paediatric vital signs are based on the New Zealand Paediatric Early Warning Score (NZPEWS). Medications have been checked against the New Zealand Formulary for Children (NZFC), NZ Resuscitation Council and other national guidelines. The cards have been through a review process by both doctors and advanced clinical pharmacists prior to going into production.
2. Can I get a customised version?
There is currently only one nationwide version.
3. What are the cards made from?
Tinysaurus cards are made from durable PVC plastic, and protected on both sides by a gloss finish that does not degrade with daily clinical use. They are the same size as a credit card or hospital ID card.
4. Why are there different dinosaurs on the front?
Each version of the card has a different dino. The current cards are version 3.0 which features a stegosaurus with floppy years. The blue triceratops was on version 2.0 and the loopy green tyrannosaurus was on version 1.0
5. How much do they cost?
To promote equity of access, Tinysaurus cards are sold not for profit. The price covers production, packaging and the time required for distribution and maintain currency. Please contact below for more information.
6. Where are the cards currently used?
Tinysaurus cards are used in hospitals across the country including Whangarei, Auckland, Whakatane, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Gisbourne, Hastings, Palmerston North, Whanganui, Wairarapa, Wellington, Hutt, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Greymouth, Dunedin, Queenstown, Invercargill and many other locations.
7. Do you ship internationally?
We are only shipping to New Zealand locations currently, however we are exploring international shipping options. Please watch this space!
